All those tweets will be lost in time... like tears in rain...
Time to... turn off "microservices".
Here's a #feditip for those on smaller community instances and a reason why those are so much better:
If nobody on your community follows any hateful trolls then the posts from the hateful trolls won't make it to your server.
You can build your community in peace.
So remember when you follow someone that you're asking the federation to bring their onto your server.
Do you want them in your community? Are they compassionate to others?
If nobody follows them then your server won't pick up any of their hateful trolling.
Follow kind and compassionate people liberally! Help the federation get their voice into your community's server. You can use lists if it gets too loud for you.
But be weary of bringing in hate or anger to your crew.
In the 1980s the Nepal government gave forests to local communities to manage.
Since then tree cover has doubled, reducing floods and landslides and allowing endangered plant and animal species, including the tiger, to thrive.

Had a quick look at implementing a simple css-only 'sensitive content' toggler with blur/unblur functionality, and came up with this. Unfortunately the :has pseudo-class, while a W3C standard, is still only experimentally supported in Firefox. Works fine in all other major browsers. Might be able to do it another way. Otherwise I guess I'll need a snippet of javascript.
Just discovered a unit in our complex is on the market as of a couple of days ago. REA is saying minimum offer $650,000. ANZ property valuation tool values it at maximum $550,000.
OK, got images working via Cloudfront. That required a little more hackery of the source code. I tried adding a 'cdn' var to my config file but the config logic didn't pick up the new value for some reason, so I've had to hardcode it for now. I'll figure it out later when I can be bothered.
I'm hoping I can fairly easily merge upstream into my source when @dev@microblog.pub makes updates. Otherwise things might start getting ugly when the code starts to diverge significantly.
In a note posted to Twitter’s Slack and viewable to all staff that was obtained by The Verge, an attorney on the company’s privacy team wrote, “Elon has shown that his only priority with Twitter users is how to monetize them. I do not believe he cares about the human rights activists. the dissidents, our users in un-monetizable regions, and all the other users who have made Twitter the global town square you have all spent so long building, and we all love.
And now that I've walked around the joint with folks and verified we're ship-shape, please welcome some Internet Archive roles and users to the Mastodon, including the official IA account: @internetarchive as well as founder @brewsterkahle - more folks will be coming online through us soon.
My μblog is looking slightly more respectable now, with some basic bootstrap theming. Lots more to do until I am completely satisfied with it. Not too bad though, considering I know bugger-all about python web apps and have barely touched the app's source code. If you have a little bit of technical know-how (know how to run docker, set up a reverse proxy) then give @dev@microblog.pub a spin.
Progressing from "terrible" to "slightly less terrible".
Have been overriding the default microblog.pub theme with a bootstrap-derived theme. The μBlog will most likely look wonky until this is finished.
